Led by instructor Isabella Hughes, the curriculum covers core terminology, cybersecurity foundations, and the various types of AI—ranging from generative to predictive—currently impacting the legal field. A significant portion of the instruction is dedicated to identifying and mitigating risks such as hallucinations and authority laundering, with a specific focus on maintaining professional standards through a detailed review of ABA Opinion 512 and its implications for competence, confidentiality, and billing. Through practical demonstrations and a review of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct, attorneys will gain the essential knowledge needed to leverage AI for increased efficiency and higher-value output while strictly adhering to their ethical obligations.
